MOST PRESSING AND IMPORTANT ISSUES FACING FARMER CITY:
- City Hall
- City Hall
- City Hall
I would push to do whatever it takes to get city hall more transparent, cooperative and friendly to the citizens of Farmer City.
SHORT TERM GOALS (2YRS):
Push for a sidewalk improvement project. Work to re-establish a recycling program. In general, Farmer City needs to be cleaned up!
LONG TERM GOALS:
I plan on running for mayor in 2019.
ROLE OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBER:
A city council member should be a leader in the community and a positive force. Always looking to promote the community looking out for its businesses, its citizens and its overall well being . During the past year there has been a lack of integrity on the part of the city hall, the city council and professional management. This sort of behavior and lack of professionalism, promotes lack of confidence a trust within the community.
WHAT ROLE CITIZENS CURRENTLY PLAY IN FARMER CITY:
The people of Farmer City do not play a role in this community and I guess it comes down to a lack of confidence in our city government. One of the most successful events this community has had in a long time is the Heritage Days Festival in the summer of 2016. In my opinion, between the City Council and Farmer City Chamber of Commerce, there is essentially no support for this wonderful community event. When the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce, do not want to support an event like Heritage Days, this is what will cause a community to fail.
With my experience in business and city government, I believe that I can serve the people of Farmer City well. Make our city great again! Vote for me on April 4th!
